Unlike a magazine or a printed brochure, people can look at your website on many different devices, with differently-sized screens.

For example, they could be using a Windows PC, an Apple Mac, a mobile phone, iPad, TV or games console. Also, some people have disabilities that prevent them from using a mouse, or seeing certain colour combinations, or they may be blind and using a screen-reader program to read the text on the screen out aloud.
